Blazing Magnums aka A Special Magnum for Tony Saitta (1976)

Tony Saitta (Stuart Whitman) is hardboiled cop. His sister dies suddenly after having a seizure. Saitta suspects she was murdered, possibly poisoned. His main suspect is the doctor who was present when his sister had the seizure and gave her medicine. Saitta starts to unravel his sisters somewhat shady past that includes transvestites, stolen necklace and an affair with the doctor Saitta suspects of his sisters murder.

Really good euro-crime flick. Lots of fast paced action and Stuart Whitman gives excellent performance as Saitta. John Saxon plays Saittas partner, but he is only in couple of scenes.

There are also some giallo whodunnit elements present: Saitta's sister's murder investigation and couple of gruesome gialli-styled murders when murder tries to cover his/her tracks. Some of the most memorable scenes include Saitta fighting three transvestites and in a middle struggle shoving hot hair straightener up one of the transvestite's ass and of course the long car chase sequence, which clocks nearly ten minutes, is one of the highlights of the movie.

All in all, really good entry in euro-crime genre. Directed by Alberto De Martino.

This is one of my favorites as well. The 7 minute car chase is one of the best I've ever seen.
