Cleopatra Jones (1973)

Secret agent Cleopatra Jones (Tamara Dobson) pisses off drug-pushing-lady called Mommy by ordering feds to burn her poppy fields. As a result, cops bust local rehabilitation center Cleo is supporting and they find drugs on one of the residents. Cleo suspects that drugs where planted and starts her own investigations.

Made in heydays of blaxploitation. Entertaining movie that has lots of action. Some of the fight scenes look bit dated, maybe because, to be honest, Tamara Dobson is not be best ass-kicking-chick seen on the big screen. Otherwise she is great as a leading lady. Antonio Fargas as one of the Momma's pushers, Doodlebug who is trying set his operating up, pretty much steals the show. Fargas delivers awesome dialogue and performance. All in all, entertaining movie but bit dated.

Directed by Jack Starrett. I think he is best known for his role in First Blood as the evil deputy Galt.
