Nine Guests for a Crime / Nove ospiti per un delitto (1977)

Film starts with a couple making out on a beach. Suddenly a group of men appears and they execute the man. Then they bury him on the beach. Fast forward 20 years. Group of nine people, all from the same family, return to this isolated island. They are killed one by one by a maniac who is stalking them. Has the buried man come back from the grave with a vengeance?

This one is a pretty average giallo. Nice scenery, couple of shots of female stars naked and some brutal murders sums it up pretty much. The tension that should have build between characters as they suspect each other to be the murderer just isn't there. Story line is somewhat borrowed from Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None".

This was the only giallo Ferdinando Baldi directed.
